Telephonics' Secure Communications Management Systems have provided highly integrated, programmable, and expandable ICS and Radio command and control capabilities for more than 50 years and are deployed on over 100 different platforms and customers. Whether it is our SDI product group, developed as the successor to our highly successful STARCOM legacy, or our Communications Open Architecture System (COSA)-based C-17A Integrated Radio Management System derived from our TCOMSS and DCMS digital technologies, Telephonics has the right solution to your Secure Communications Management Systems requirements. Telephonics has developed integrated systems which will provide all your state-of-the art communication needs including crew-to-crew, crew-to-radio, caution and warning, MIL-STD-1553, noise cancellation, and numerous NetCentric capabilities. The open architecture technology, software reconfigurability and diverse range of Crew Access Panel options provide a customized system to meet your specific needs at off-the-shelf price and delivery. Let Telephonics develop a customized system for your airborne, ground or sea based requirement. SDI provides our customers with a state-of-the art, lightweight, low power, open architecture system capable of being scaled to your specific mission/platform and easy growth capability to meet future mission capabilities. In addition, a robust backup system and redundant interface architecture provide the user with unencumbered operation even in the worse of conditions. The heart of the SDI system is a multifunction Intercommunications Control Unit (ICU) which accommodates eight (8) users, twenty two (22) programmable radio and eight (8) programmable NAV Tones channels, programmable VOX/AGC circuitry, MIL-STD-1553 interface, 256 message programmable/priority addressable Central Aural Warning System, Ethernet, VoIP, Adaptive Noise Cancellation, Spatial Audio, and Voice Recognition. Additional ICU's can be utilized to increase User/Radio interfaces to 32/88 respectively. SDI also offers its customers four different Crew Access Panel styles from a simple "heads-up" integrated push/pull/turn knob control to a multi-character display/menu architecture allowing full command and control visual awareness utilized on some of our Transport/Tanker applications. The use of Dual Core Processors, PC-104 architecture and our proprietary Versatile Network Interface Card (VNIC), Telephonics is able to develop unique capabilities through embedded IP and software modules.
