Telephonics Core Products include a variety of analog and digital communication management systems designed to address a variety of platform requirements. These products also include a number of custom systems based on key Telephonics' intercommunication system technology that were developed to meet the unique requirements of specific platforms. Central to these core products are the STARCOM and TCOMSS systems. STARCOM is an analog intercom system that is scalable and configurable to applications varying from transport helicopters, to UAV operational shelters, and Air Cushion Landing Craft. TCOMSS is a fully digital system with extended functionality and user capabilities. Initially developed for large scale applications such as ISR aircraft, TCOMSS' flexibility and scalability have allowed its adaptation to new applications such as the U.S. Navy's MH-60R and MH-60S helicopters.

Digital Communication Management System (DCMS) is Telephonics' first generation, all-digital intercommunication system. Designed for the Joint STARS program, it was the first all-digital ICS to enter operational service with the U.S. Armed Forces. Subsequently, DCMS was applied to ASW aircraft including the U.S. and International P-3 variants as well as German Atlantique aircraft.
DCMS' modular, distributed digital design allows the system to be easily modified, expanded, and updated easily - making the system very flexible and easy for growth. Key features of DCMS include:

*84 audio channels to support a wide range of communications devices including radios, NAVAIDS, warning receivers, and mission subsystems such as Sonobuoy receivers
*Real-time switching of modems and encryption devices
*Range of customized human interfaces to address platform specific requirements
